Traxis Liquidating $300 mln Fund Managed by Biggs

NEW YORK—Traxis Partners LP is liquidating a $300 million fund solely managed by its deceased founder Barton Biggs and giving investors the option to transfer their assets to the hedge fund’s flagship fund, according to a letter sent to investors Tuesday.

The firm’s managing partner Amer Bisat confirmed the move.

“We recognize Barton’s death is a material event and as a sign of confidence to the firm, we are giving investors early redemption,” Mr. Bisat said.
